Our huge range of NEMA standard motors are specified for the application, including general purpose, severe duty, hazardous area, washdown, pump and HVAC duty and variable speed. They are produced by the worlds leading NEMA motor manufacturer ABB under either the ABB or Baldor Reliance brand names.
A variety of mounting arrangements common to NEMA standard motors are available such as foot or rigid base, C face, D flange and special pump mount such as P base. Ratings are given in horsepower for 60Hz supplies, with duel 50Hz operation also available on many motor types.
NEMA and IEC frames are not directly interchangeable. Shaft, flange and foot dimensions differ, and the standard conduit or terminal box position is on the side rather than the top. Connections are normally by loose or flying leads, rather than an IEC terminal block and ingress protection is often approached differently.
