The Invertek Optidrive P2 is a high performance variable frequency drive for motors from 0.75 to 250 kW on 200 to 600 V supplies. Sensorless and closed loop vector control, a dedicated hoist mode, built-in PLC functions and safe torque off suit it to cranes, hoists, conveyors and other demanding duties, with the same straightforward setup as Invertek’s general purpose drives.
The Optidrive P2 is Invertek’s high performance drive range. It delivers up to 200% torque from zero speed in sensorless vector mode, and adds closed loop encoder control where speed or torque must be held precisely. It covers four supply voltages:
Three enclosure types cover most installations. IP20 drives mount in a control panel, in frame sizes 2 to 8 up to 250 kW. IP55 drives mount without a panel, on a wall or in a plant room, in frame sizes 4 to 8 up to 250 kW. IP66 (NEMA 4X) drives are outdoor rated and washdown-capable, in frame sizes 2 to 4 up to 22 kW, with switched versions that add local controls.
For fans and pumps, the Optidrive ECO shares the P2’s hardware with HVAC and pump software. For simpler speed control, the Optidrive E3 is the general purpose choice. Our article on VFD control methods explains when vector and closed loop control are worth having.

The Optidrive E3 is a general purpose drive up to 37 kW. The P2 goes to 250 kW and up to 600 V, adds closed loop control, hoist mode, built-in PLC functions, safe torque off, an IP55 option and more I/O and fieldbus choices.
