Clean Duty is Motovario’s worm geared motor for aggressive environments and high hygiene requirements. Built on the round body SW Series, it is treated to stop water and dirt collecting, resists washing with products from pH 2 to 12 and high-pressure water, and comes in three versions to match the cleaning regime.
Motovario developed Clean Duty for the food industry and other applications with very high hygiene standards, particularly primary processing such as packaging lines for fruit and fresh food. Its compact, smooth body and corrosion-resistant materials suit cutting, slicing, dosing, packaging and hot or cold temperature-controlled processes.
There are three versions. SW-CD/A has a blue RAL 5010 painted casing and a standard motor. SW-CD/C and SW-CD/D have an unpainted casing protected by Motovario’s MotoNiTech TNC17 chemical treatment and a stainless steel motor. All three have an AISI stainless steel hollow output shaft, bolts, nuts and cable gland, and an input flange with a graphite gasket. Food grade lubricant and high-pressure oil seals are standard on SW-CD/D and options on SW-CD/A.
Motovario immersion-tested the MotoNiTech treatment for 28 days in industrial detergents and sanitisers, simulating seven years of use, with no change in colour, gloss or protective properties to DIN EN ISO 4628-1. The motors have smooth surfaces without cooling fins, can be supplied without a fan, and are rated IP66, with up to IP69K available. Sizes run from SW-CD030 to SW-CD090, for motors up to 1.5kW with B14 flanges as standard.

A version of the round body SW worm geared motor built for washdown and hygiene-critical areas, with treated or painted casings, stainless steel shafts and fasteners, and food grade lubricant and stainless motor options.
SW-CD/A, with a painted casing and standard motor, suits splash and routine cleaning. SW-CD/C adds the MotoNiTech chemical treatment and a stainless steel motor. SW-CD/D adds food grade lubricant and high-pressure oil seals as standard, for the most demanding food processing washdown.
